In 1996, Scaramucci left Goldman to co-found Oscar Capital Management with Andrew Boszhardt.

 

In 2001, Oscar Capital was acquired by Neuberger Berman, and in 2003, Neuberger Berman was acquired by Lehman Brothers. Scaramucci was a managing director in the Investment Management division of the company.

 

In 2005, he established SkyBridge Capital, a global alternative investment firm. Scaramucci served as chairman of the SkyBridge Alternatives “SALT” Conference, which began in 2009 and is held annually in Las Vegas.

 

In 2011, Scaramucci won the Financial Services category of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award New York. In 2016, he was ranked #85 on the “Power 100: The 100 Most Powerful People in Global Finance” list by Worth magazine.

 

In April of 2018, it was announced that Scaramucci would rejoin SkyBridge following the agreement with HNA Group.
