Jefferson Agustn Farfán Guadalupe was born on 26 October 1984 and primarily plays as a forward or winger for Lokomotiv Moscow and the Peruvian national team.
Known as Farfán or Foca (Spanish for “seal”), he is known for his speed and technical ability and was one of the Bundesliga’s top assist providers during his time there.
In 2001, Jefferson made his professional debut in Alianza Lima. Farfán joined PSV Eindhoven in 2004, where he won the Eredivisie four times and the KNVB Cup once.
In 2008, the footballer attracted the interest of numerous European clubs, including Tottenham and Fiorentina. Despite this, Schalke was able to acquire the Peruvian player, who signed a four-year contract with the new club.
