Jim Norton is an American comedian, radio personality, actor, and author with a net worth of $3 million. Jim Norton first gained national recognition as the third mike comedian on the now-defunct radio programme “Opie & Anthony” Today, he co-hosts the SiriusXM radio programme “Jim Norton & Sam Roberts” He has also published a number of DVDs and specials as a stand-up comedian. Jim is the author of two books, the first of which debuted at number seven on the list of best-selling books. His second book debuted at number thirteen on the best-seller list.

James Joseph Norton Jr. was born in Bayonne, New Jersey on July 19, 1968. His father was a truck driver for the United States Postal Service, and his mother was a librarian. His sister’s name is Tracy.
Jim had a somewhat rough upbringing. He began drinking heavily at age 13 and dropped out of high school as a senior. Following an unsuccessful suicide attempt, he underwent rehabilitation. After three years of abstinence, Jim obtained his GED (he has been sober ever since). He then enrolled at Middlesex County College to study law with the intention of becoming an attorney. He dropped out after only one month.
Jim then began working as a forklift operator.
In April 1990, he began performing stand-up comedy at open mics. Since the age of 12, he desired to be a stand-up comedian.
In 1997, Jim appeared on an episode of Louie Anderson’s “The Louie Show” Andrew “Dice” Clay witnessed the performance and became an immediate admirer. Jim and Andrew met shortly thereafter at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Andrew invited Jim to tour with him as his opening act. They worked together for three years.
Jim was introduced to the popular radio programme “Opie & Anthony” by Dice in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Jim got along well with the hosts, Anthony Cumia and Greg “Opie” Hughes. By the year 2000, Jim was a frequent guest on the programme. In the same year, Jim and fellow comic Lewis Black were jailed in connection with one of the show’s infamous public antics.
