Justin Timberlake is a $250 million dollar American singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer. He rose to fame as a member of the boy band NSYNC before transitioning to a successful solo music and acting career. He began his career as a child on the shows “Star Search” and “The All-New Mickey Mouse Club”


Timberlake’s business ventures include 901 tequila, the William Rast clothing line, and a chain of co-owned restaurants. He invested in the newly redesigned Myspace.com in 2012. Justin has been known to earn more than $50 million in a single year from his various endeavours.


Beginnings of Life and Career

Justin Randall Timberlake was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 31, 1981. He was raised in the small town of Shelby Forest. From his father’s second marriage, he has two half-brothers and a half-sister who died shortly after birth in 1997.


Timberlake was introduced to music at a young age by his grandfather, and as a child, he performed country and gospel music. At the age of 11, he appeared on the television show “Star Search” singing under the name “Justin Randall” He was a regular cast member on “The All-New Mickey Mouse Club” in 1993 and 1994, alongside Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, JC Chasez, and Ryan Gosling. Timberlake recruited Chasez to join him in a male singing group organised by manager Lou Pearlman in 1995, which later became the boyband NSYNC.



Timberlake and Chasez were the two lead singers when the band debuted in Europe in 1996. Their self-titled debut studio album, released in 1998, sold 11 million copies in the United States, propelling them to stardom. Their popularity grew even more after their second album, “No Strings Attached” was released in 2000 and sold 2.4 million copies in its first week. Their 2001 album “Celebrity” was another huge commercial success.


Solo Achievement

As boybands’ popularity faded, Timberlake’s star continued to rise as he ventured into new endeavours, such as starring in the Disney Channel film “Model Behavior” in 2000. Timberlake partnered with Pharrell Williams to work on music when NSYNC went on hiatus in 2002, but the seed for going solo had already been planted a year earlier in 2001. In 2001, Timberlake wrote the song “Gone” for Michael Jackson, but after Jackson declined, NSYNC recorded it instead.
