What Is Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Faith? Lindsey Graham Ketanji: What Is Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Faith? What Religion Is Ketanji Brown Jackson?

Ketanji Brown Jackson is a protestant who is non-denominational.

On the second day of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearings, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham’s turn to ask questions raised eyebrows.

Graham, the former chairman of the Judiciary Committee who previously voted to approve Jackson, asked very literally,

“Uh, on a scale of 1 to 10, how religious are you?” “Do you attend church on a regular basis?” the Republican inquired moments later.

“I am hesitant to discuss faith in this manner,” the judge said, “because I want to be cognizant of the public’s need for confidence in my capacity to distinguish my personal beliefs from my professional ones.”

It followed a similar discussion in which Graham probed Jackson on her religious affiliation, forcing the judge to clarify that she is a non-denominational Protestant.

“My faith is extremely important to me personally, but as you know, there is no religious test in the Constitution under Article 6, and it is critical to set aside one’s personal opinions on issues when acting as a judge,” she explained.
