Nathan Fillion is best known for his portrayal of “Richard Castle” on ABC’s “Castle,” followed by “John Nolan” on ABC’s “The Rookie.” He played Mal in the sci-fi series “Firefly” as well as the 2005 film sequel “Serenity.” In the same year, he played Hermes in the film “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.”

In March 2009, Fillion starred in the television series “Castle” as the titular character Richard Castle. He also appeared in the Spike spoof porn web video “Nailing Your Wife.” He also made a brief cameo appearance in the web series “The Guild’s” season 5 episode “Revolving Doors.” Then, in late September 2011, Fillion appeared in the web series “Husbands” as the Action Sports 1 anchor.

In 2012, he played Dogberry in the independent film Much Ado About Nothing. Joss Whedon wrote, directed, and produced the film, which was based on the Shakespeare play of the same name. The digital projections of video and text portraiture to the West and North elevations of the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, London, 2009, are titled “Firrell: Complete Hero.” “Metascifi” is a digital app that looks for strategies and ideas for living well in American television science fiction series.

Complete Hero’s “face” was him. “I wanted to make a piece of work that looked at all kinds of heroism, not just the usual derring-do of white square-jawed men,” the artist explained why he chose him. But I thought it’d be fun to start with a white, square-jawed man, so Nathan Fillion agreed to participate.”

Furthermore, in Metascifi, he delves deeper into the meaning of his Firefly character Captain Mal Reynolds, reflecting on some of life’s universal concerns: death, love, evil, intimacy, power, vulnerability, violence, and freedom.
