In May of that year, Mary-Kate and Ashley announced that they were not interested in reprising their roles as Michelle Tanner. Subscribers paid for access to MK and Ashley’s collectibles and photographs, which included a copy of Our Funzine, the twins’ fan club magazine. Until 1998, the club was advertised at the beginning of each MK and Ashley film. In the 1990s and early 2000s, the twins were extremely popular with preteens.
